【Brainmates Seminar Night Owls Sharing】 is a late night gathering born during the pandemic—a space where a group of “night owls” come together to think, talk, and create. Across four evenings in June, the series invites audiences to explore how art, neuroscience, mindfulness, and mental health intersect, collide, and open new possibilities. Through conversations, case studies, and creative reflections, the seminar traces a journey from interdisciplinary artistic practice to emotional wellbeing, from contemplative experience to digital transformation. Together, these talks form a shared inquiry into how we understand the mind, how we care for it, and how art can illuminate that path.
The four sessions unfold as a continuous exploration:
Crossing disciplines: The first talk examines how artists step beyond their own field, engaging with other professions to exchange perspectives, combine knowledge, and generate new creative insights.
Mindfulness as creative spark: The second session looks at how mindfulness becomes a source of artistic inspiration, shaping both the creative process and the artist’s own life experience. The four sessions unfold as a continuous exploration:

Mental health in the arts: The third discussion turns to the lived reality of cultural workers—how they understand mental health, what emotional self care looks like in the field, and what cross sector dialogue can reveal.
From physical to virtual worlds: The final talk explores how a contemplative installation inspired by mindfulness was reimagined as a virtual mobile experience, revealing the challenges and discoveries of translating art across mediums.
【Brainmates Seminar Night Owls Sharing】 hopes to offer a warm, art filled evening space in uncertain times—an invitation to think with our minds, create with our hearts, and imagine new ways of understanding mental wellbeing through art.

The installation "The Tides of Time" successfully bridged high-tech innovation with contemplative artistry, engaging 14,833 visitors through a transformative, multi-sensory experience.
Technological Artistry & Reimagined Spaces
By repurposing a traditional performance venue into an immersive exhibition, the project utilized high-tech projectors to create a fluid, poetic landscape. This cross-disciplinary approach integrated light, sound, and visual art into a conceptual sanctuary, where advanced projection served as a medium to visualize the rhythmic flow of time and human connectivity.
Inclusive Excellence & Community Engagement
A cornerstone of the project was its commitment to broad-based accessibility, successfully engaging a diverse audience spanning all age groups. By ensuring the installation was welcoming to the entire local community, the project demonstrated that sophisticated, elegant artistic value does not need to be exclusive. It maintained a high-caliber aesthetic while remaining approachable, fostering a shared cultural experience for both seasoned art enthusiasts and the general public.
Ethical Production & Sustainability
Driven by a value-centered creative philosophy, the project prioritized environmental integrity. The installation exclusively featured recycled and non-toxic materials, ensuring the physical production mirrored its thematic focus on life cycles and preservation. This commitment to conscious design established a benchmark for responsible art-tech production.
Public Access & Social ImpactTo maximize social value and cultural access, the exhibition operated with extended hours from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This ensured the widest possible public engagement, offering a rare, restorative resource for the community. The success of this holistic approach was reflected in the exceptional audience feedback, with 100% of surveyed visitors expressing high appreciation, confirming the installation's power to provide a "peaceful sanctuary" for all.
